Brad removed the door, fixed latch and replaced door in minutes. Obviously a professional. It worked again smoothly. He also wrote a quote in case it happens again so we would know how much replacement latches would cost. He was very nice. I would use again and recommend this company to others based on this experience. This was my first time using this company.”
Chris showed up in just a day or two and figured out what the problem was right away. He called some warehouses as he was standing in front of my broken microwave and found the soon to be obsolete parts. Chris came back with the parts a week later and made sure that he protected my countertop with a blanket. He worked quickly and efficiently. Northwest Appliance was the best place to call.
They were timely, came when they said they would come. Very professional, appropriate, and efficient. The dishwasher is working, and I have them coming out later this week to do other services for me!
Highly recommend this company! All of our interactions were superb and the employees we have dealt with are highly professional. We were hearing an occasional hammering sound from the fridge, it was particularly bad when we were attempting to use the water dispenser, which was not working. During our appointment window Sean called to let me know he was about 20 minutes away. He was kind a courteous and troubleshot problem well. He showed me the possible causes and remedies so that I could avoid calling in the future. It turns out that the problem was that an air bubble had build up next to the filter, so he took the filter out and then put it back in. Problem solved! I appreciate that he looked for simple causes before opening up the fridge and replacing the valve, which my Googlage had led me to believe was the issue.

From the initial call to NW and the follow-up it was a high level of service and very smooth. Everything they said they would do is what happened. Every one I spoke to was kind and professional. We were especially impressed with our service technician and his relentless pursuit to repair our machine AND resolve the machine running since it was full of dishes and we’re in an office so hand washing is not an easy job. He MacGyver’d a chair and got the door to close (the issue was the latch). The parts arrived sooner than they thought and the whole job was done in a couple days. Description of work:Diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher not working, ordered the parts, and returned to repair the machine. But, he also went above and beyond in service by rigging a way using a chair and a plastic bottle to get the machine to run. No one asked him to do this.
Northwest Appliances sent their technician out the very next day. Randy immediately diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in less than an hour. He was friendly, professional, and answered all of our questions. I would definitely call them again.
had excellent service! He was kind, considerate and professional. He took the time to explain everything, including cost, before fixing it. I would highly recommend this company! I will certainly use them again if I need to.
was pleased and impressed that the service man was able to figure out how to install a clothes dryer vent in a space that was problematic. Two other pros had failed–the movers, who hook up dryers as part of the moving price, and our handyman, who made it work but the dryer stood into the room too far for the bathroom door to close. The service man took about half an hour to create and put on an attachment that was viable and safe.

Our first job was to fix our dishwasher. The scheduler was very accurate and organized. She scheduled a time, but noted that she would have to verify that they had the necessary parts in stock and might have to reschedule if the part was not in stock. The scheduler called me back almost immediately to confirm they did have the part and we were able to proceed with the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I had a last minute conflict. They were very understanding and rescheduled. However, their repair person finished morning appointments early, contacted me and was able to complete the job on the original day. He explained that I could repair the existing mechanism on the one side that was broken or replace the entire mechanism with a newer, much more reliable version now in use by the company. I chose the second option. The kit from the manufacturer was missing a connector. The repair person went to extensive lengths to get the necessary part and be back to repair the dishwasher in time for me to leave for my appointment. The problem was fixed and worked correctly.Shortly afterward our garbage disposal seemed to partially jammed. We contacted Northwest Appliance again. Once again the schedule was organized and efficient, asking model information to make sure they had the necessary parts. She made suggestions on how I might try to unjam the appliance myself and told me how much the repair would be as well as how much a replacement would cost. The repair person was able to remove the jam, although he had to take the whole unit off to pry out the small piece of plastic. After seeing another small piece that I pulled out myself, he suggested, very perceptively I thought, that they were pieces of plastic that fell to the drain of the dishwasher when the rack piece broke and drained into the disposal when we started to use the dishwasher again. I asked as a special favor, since he was under the sink, if he could tighten our faucet. We had been unable to do so. He did so cheerfully and very well at no extra charge. Our experience with Northwest Appliance has been excellent. They appear to have a very good process. They have an excellent front office person/scheduler who is knowledgeable, efficient and who does excellent follow-through. The repair people arrived on time and gave me accurate estimates of cost before they started work. They were very courteous and appeared to know what they are doing because they worked quickly and did a good job. They were able to explain what they were doing and answered customer questions.
Excellent service! Appointment was scheduled for a morning visit between 08:00-noon. Serviceman Shawn called about 10:00 to state he was 15 minutes out – as promised. He arrived on time and reviewed the situation. A quick review of the large fridge showed the problem to be debris in the condenser. Shawn showed me how to access and clean the condenser to reduce the need for future service calls. He also made recommendations on how improve airflow to the condenser. The second unit was a quick and simple fix (for now). Shawn recommended to wait and see if the fix was permanent or temporary (may need to replace a relay at a future date if this doesn’t work as a permanent fix). Did not “hard sell” for parts or repairs that weren’t needed and walked me through all the issues. Excellent service and knowledge! I would not hesitate to recommend or use this company in the future.
I have an InSinkErator disposal that stopped working and called NW to inquire about the warranty process. I spoke to a lady there that was very helpful in explaining the process, but after I said I’d like to know how to diagnose the problem myself, she promptly connected me with one of their techs. He was super helpful in explaining the potential problem and how to diagnose and fix the issue. I can’t describe how awesome it was to talk to someone who knew what they were talking about and was open to giving me advice. If I discover the problem is truly a warranty issue, I’ll call them back in a heartbeat. Ultimately, they’re potentially saving me the cost of the service call, which would not be covered by the manufacturer if the issue with my disposal isn’t covered under warranty. So cool!
Randy did his work in a professional and informative manner, and took the time to explain what he was doing and the kind of maintenance we could perform to get a longer life out of them. The Northwest Appliance folks were easy to work with in scheduling the appointment and Randy called ahead before arriving well within the appointment window. I would not hesitate to call on Northwest Appliances again.
I see why the company has so many positive reviews. I had tried to get other appliance companies to fix the problem the Friday before the Monday that Northwest came. No luck. I searched Angie’s List for a better alternative and called Northwest early on Monday morning. The gentleman said he’d have someone at my home before noon and he did so. The problem was that the steam function of my front-load dryer was leaking but I could not reach the shutoff valve which was behind the stacked washer/dryer. The appliances did have a FLOODSTOP device in the pan under the unit which had gone off, but I wasn’t sure how to use it or reset it. The man who came was familiar with the FLOODSTOP device and explained it to me. He also fixed the source of the leak. I was amazed that the company would so quickly respond to what appeared to me an emergency situation, but for which I could not get a response from the repair companies recommended by the store where I purchased the washer and dryer. Northwest can be assured that my future appliance repair business will be directed to it.
It went well. Technician was prompt and efficient and answered my questions as need. I thought it was on the expensive side compared to what it would cost to do on own, but I have a great fear of electrical jobs, and I knew that they could take care of this and it would be safe, so worth it to me..
The service tech, Randy, came to inspect our dishwasher which developed a bad case of black mold. It was a quick diagnosis – start over with an new one. Now he could have written up the invoice & walked out because that is all he was required to do. Randy stayed and coached me on manufacturers & features to consider and those to stay away and the best ways to maintain my new one. The extra 30 minutes he spent with me was extremely helpful and worth the money.
Service provider was so easy to work with. We dropped off our microwave on a Saturday and promptly received an update on Monday. While they did the work to repair the original problem, the new issue made us decide to not fix and just replace it. Asked for advice on what to do and they offered me good information to help me decide. Service provider let us know that he would not charge for the new door switch (and just take it out) given we were not going to keep the microwave. I really felt like this was an honest shop that was just looking out for our best interests. I dropped off the microwave at their shop, but I have them coming again to look dishwasher!
